In May 2018, the players of “Servit” for the second time represented the national team of the “Kyiv Academy” National Police Center, which took part in the 7th International Police Mini-Football Tournament WPIST (Mallorca, Spain).
Last year, our team won silver medals at this tournament, losing to the Russians in the final. The guys trained hard for a whole hour, the team was also strengthened by experienced players. Therefore, this year, in a tough fight, there were victorious matches with the teams of Portugal – 2:0, Spain – 2:1, France – 3:0, Israel – 2:0, Switzerland – 2:1, and a draw with the Czech team – 0:0.
In the semifinals, the guys competed with the ex-champion of this tournament – the team from St. Petersburg, which took first place for five years in a row, and won – 4:3. Our team won the final match against Jordan with a score of 3:1.
Until now, none of the Ukrainian teams had achieved such a result in this difficult subgroup of the World Police Mini-Football Tournament.
The football players were personally congratulated by the President of the Ukrainian section of the IPA, A. V. Vasylyshyn, who announced that all the team members were awarded the honorary award of the IPA Board of Directors.
