In February 2019, the team of the Center of the National Police of Ukraine, which twice won gold at the world international police tournaments “WPIST” in Spain and the Netherlands, represented the Ukrainian section of the International Police Association in Minsk. The players of “Servit”, as in previous years, played for the “Kyiv Academy” and led the team to victory.
The main feature of these competitions was that all five participating teams won the world championship in different years. In addition, the team of the hosts of the tournament “Okhrona-Dynamo”, which won silver, plays in the Belarusian Premier League and occupies far from the last positions there. So, there were no weak opponents and all the matches were very tense.
In Minsk, our players played one match in a draw, and all the others won and once again proved that our team is the strongest among the teams of law enforcement agencies in the world.
The champions were awarded gold medals, diplomas and the main prize – the crystal Cup of the tournament. In their honor, the National Anthem of Ukraine was played in the hall of the capital’s sports complex, where the winners were honored.
The sports delegation of the Ukrainian Athletics Federation, headed by Vice-President A.V. Zarubytsky, returning from Minsk, noted the high level of organization of the tournament, as well as the extremely warm and friendly welcome on Belarusian soil.
